Chartwell Law is looking for an experienced self-starting Partner to join our litigation group in our Atlanta, GA office. Successful applicants will have exceptional writing, research, and litigation skills. This position is full-time. The Associate will work directly with and learn from a highly experienced and fun group of attorneys and staff members. We maintain a professional yet laid back work environment. A candidate must be a team player willing to assist other team members when necessary.
Primary duties include :
- File review and legal analysis of claims and causes of action
- Extensive legal research and drafting of substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate briefs
- Annual billable amount of 1950 hours required
- Regularly representing clients in court, at arbitrations and in depositions
- Drafting and responding to discovery requests
- Expert witness retention and collaboration
- Trial preparation and attendance
- Some travel may be required
