Role Overview
The Engineering & Maintenance Manager will lead maintenance operations, ensuring equipment reliability, facility upkeep, and process improvements. This role oversees a team of 8-10 employees and is responsible for optimizing maintenance programs, managing capital projects, and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee repair, maintenance, and installation of machines, tools, and facility systems to ensure continuous production.
- Lead a world-class maintenance program, ensuring uptime, preventive maintenance execution, and capital project management.
- Manage utility systems, ensuring an uninterrupted supply of essential resources (heat, power, gas, air).
- Drive LEAN, TPM, and operational excellence initiatives to improve efficiency, asset effectiveness, and team performance.
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance skills and ensure compliance with company policies.
- Manage contractors, outside services, and facility representatives, ensuring high-quality service and cost control.
- Own shutdown coordination activities and participate in emergency response and drills.
- Manage one supervisor and oversee a team of 8-10 maintenance personnel; Lead hiring, training, performance evaluation, and workforce development efforts.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of maintenance & engineering experience in a manufacturing environment, including leadership roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and SolidWorks.
- Strong problem-solving, project management, and communication skills.
- Experience with TPM, LEAN, or HPWS methodologies preferred.
