What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Procurement Client Engagement position at Chase Cost Management?
We are seeking an experienced procurement manager with 5 to 8 years of expertise in procurement process, bid strategy, spend analytics and relationship management. The role will be as outsourced procurement manager at multiple clients, focusing on driving value through process improvement, strategic sourcing, data analysis and process optimization to achieve client and internal business goals. The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and a comprehensive understanding of category management.
Reports To: Director of Procurement
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Process Management
- Evaluate existing client processes and identify gaps or inefficiencies.
- Collaborate with the internal team to propose new processes and drive efficiencies.
- Ensure compliance with existing procurement policies and suggest additional guidelines where needed.
- Streamline procurement workflows to improve efficiency and reduce cycle time.
Client Engagement and Relationship Management:
- Work closely with the assigned Director on client-facing projects, either as a second seat or lead smaller engagements as assigned.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, primarily stakeholders, to achieve project goals.
- Present project materials to clients under the guidance of the assigned Director.
- Maintain efficient and courteous relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors/SMEs.
Project Management and Execution:
- Assist in the development of project strategies in collaboration with the Director and/or other team members.
- Prepare client-facing documents under the direction of the Director.
- Plan, execute, and deliver assigned projects effectively.
- Conduct detailed project management and maintenance tasks.
- Schedule key project meetings, calls, and other necessary activities appropriately.
- Recap key calls and meetings for documentation purposes.
- Manage project timelines in conjunction with the Director.
- Maintain an aggressive focus on achieving overall project and client goals.
Strategic Sourcing and Bid Strategy
- Develop and execute competitive bidding strategies, including RFx creation, supplier evaluation and award recommendations.
- Analyze market trends and supplier performance to drive cost reduction, improve quality and mitigate risks.
- Collaborate with client representatives to align bid strategies with business goals and category objectives.
- Manage spend, supplier list, and market data as directed by the Director for assigned Clients.
- Conduct vendor negotiations as determined by the assigned Director.
- Work closely with subject matter experts on expense reduction projects.
- Lead research and analytics efforts to validate savings projections and enhance supplier negotiations.
- Continuously monitor and evaluate savings against targets by category, sub-category, and supplier.
- Manage supplier performance and relationships to meet client expectations.
Data Analysis and Reporting
- Analyze procurement data to identify trends, risk and savings opportunities.
- Prepare detailed analysis to demonstrate opportunities to stakeholders.
- Monitor and report on KPIs such as savings versus baseline, purchase compliance, and usage against targeted outcomes.
Qualifications
- 5-8 years experience in procurement, sourcing or supply chain management
- In depth knowledge of procurement process policies and tools
- Strong ability to analyze complex data and make strategic decisions
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Bachelors degree
- Project management experience a plus
Salary : $100,000 - $130,000
