We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Technician to join our team and provide on-site technical support for our warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in desktop support, with experience in laser printer, label printer, handheld RF gun setup, and installation of devices and peripherals. This role will involve testing, troubleshooting, and providing go-live support for warehouse systems.
Responsibilities:
- Hardware and Software Support:Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, scanners, and other peripheral devices.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues, including network connectivity, printer problems, and application errors.
- Provide technical support for warehouse systems, including laser printers, label printers, and handheld RF guns.
- Device Setup and Installation:Set up and install new devices and peripherals, ensuring proper configuration and integration with existing systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot handheld RF guns for warehouse operations.
- Testing and Troubleshooting:Conduct thorough testing of hardware, software, and network systems to identify and resolve potential issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to warehouse operations, including system failures, data corruption, and network outages.
- Go-Live Support:Provide on-site technical support during system implementations and go-live processes.
- Assist users in adapting to new systems and processes, providing training and guidance as needed.
- Warehouse Systems Support:Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse management systems and their integration with desktop and mobile devices.
- Provide technical support for warehouse-specific applications and processes.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in desktop support, with a focus on hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Strong knowledge of laser printer, label printer, and handheld RF gun setup and configuration.
- Experience with network troubleshooting and configuration.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong customer service orientation and interpersonal skills.
- Experience supporting warehouse systems is a plus.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Certifications in desktop support or IT-related fields.
- Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
