JOB SUMMARY:
Demonstrate creativity, energy, and passion for Jesus and volunteers, curriculum, & elementary-aged children as the assistant to the KIDS CO. Pastor (Elementary). This is a part-time, 25-hours-per-week position.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work alongside the KIDS CO. Pastor (Elementary) to implement and execute curriculum and plan for the elementary weekend services
- Schedule volunteers for each weekend as well as communicate to the team members
- Assist in ensuring that all supplies and programming materials are provided for each area
- Invite, train, and delegate to a team of key leaders who can help carry out and share essential functions of ministry for this age group
- Work with other KIDS CO. staff to use social media to promote KIDS CO. to parents and the church at large
- Have a physical presence during the weekend services to connect with volunteers, parents, and children
- Support and care for leaders and parents beyond the weekend
- Attend church service
- Be committed to doing ministry as a team and promoting unity
- Be an active participant in most KIDS CO. related activities
- Meet weekly with KIDS CO. staff for discussion, evaluation, and sharing of vision and needs of the ministry

- Strong ability to multi-task
- Flexibility and willingness to jump into various roles as needed during service
- Leadership skills and passion, which are necessary to recruit, encourage, and inspire new and existing team members
- Organization, which is necessary to ensure the implementation, planning, and execution of the weekend services
- Communication, which is key to develop relationships with Legacy and KIDS CO. staff, team members, and parents
- Flexibility, which is crucial as we pivot each weekend to make services successful
- A fun, positive, and welcoming attitude, which is essential to building community among the team and parents
- Creativity in coming up with and executing events for elementary KIDS CO.
- Collaborating with others to come up with and execute a plan
EXPERIENCE DESIRED
- Teaching or childcare
- Computer skills in G-Suite and/or Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Canva, Playlister
- Minimum 2 year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Collaborating with others to come up with and execute a plan
EDUCATION DESIRED
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent; college degree preferred
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervises volunteer team on the weekends
- Lead or help lead volunteer training twice a year
LANGUAGE SKILLS
- Ability to speak effectively and understandably on the phone. The ability to effectively present information and respond to common inquiries regarding the Chase Oaks technical environment is also required. High attention to customer service
- Occasional public speaking
- To speak effectively and respectfully to children, parents, and volunteers
- To be able to help resolve conflict between others with gentleness and respect
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook calendaring, and email
- Basic knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint
- Data entry skill & experience
- Familiarity with databases
- Ability to take pictures/video and upload to social media or send to the curriculum director
- Working knowledge of Canva
