What are the responsibilities and job description for the Accounting Administrator I position at Chase Plastics Services Inc?
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION:
Devote full time to the business and affairs of Chase Plastic Services, Inc., and use your best efforts to perform faithfully and efficiently the responsibilities assigned to you. Primary purpose is to support the Accounting department as necessary for the day-to-day operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Predictable and dependable attendance is required
- Process customer invoices and ensure they are sent out on a daily basis
- Process customer returns as needed
- Electronically file all shipping documents after invoicing customers
- Assist customer service department in resolution efforts of discrepancies
- Verify accuracy of billing data and revise errors
- Maintain the daily sales log and report month end closing of sales.
- Provide back-up coverage to the Accounting Administrator II and III as needed
- Assist with investigating and posting inventory adjustments
- Prepare inventory reconciliations for various warehouse locations on a quarterly basis
- Prepare and file the monthly GST/HST return
- Data entry of freight invoices
- Work with carriers to secure any missing invoices
- Assist the Accounting Administrator II and III with the receipt collection and coding of Concur
- Focus on noted areas of improvement in your prior year Catalytic Coaching session. Implement the development recommendations discussed as well as your own areas that you have internally identified
- Other assistance or projects assigned as needed
