Job Title: Accounts Receivable Clerk
Location: Onsite – 615 Lambson Lane, New Castle, DE 19720
Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 1-hour lunch break
Start Times: Flexible start times between 8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, and 9:00 AM
Position Overview:
The Accounts Receivable Clerk is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely posting of customer payments, resolving account discrepancies, and maintaining detailed records of all account-related communications within the Sapphire system. This role involves close collaboration with retailers, sales teams, warehouse staff, drivers, customer service representatives, and the National Call Center to collect outstanding balances and resolve discrepancies efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately and promptly post customer payments to their respective accounts.
- Research, reconcile, and resolve payment discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Scan and process payments into the bank system.
- Maintain detailed and accurate notes of all account-related communications within the Sapphire system.
- Notify customers and sales teams of account issues as needed.
- Distribute monthly statements via email to specific accounts.
- Handle a high volume of customer and driver calls with professionalism and accuracy.
- Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the Accounts Receivable Manager as necessary.
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, warehouse, customer service, etc.) to ensure outstanding balances are collected and discrepancies are resolved promptly.
- Ensure customer accounts are reconciled and updated with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Problem-solve effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar role.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using accounting software (experience with Sapphire is a plus).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to handle a high volume of calls and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Work Environment:
- This is an onsite position with no remote work options.
- The role requires flexibility in start times (8:00 AM, 8:30 AM, or 9:00 AM).

Job Type: Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
