All of our treats are single ingredient US sourced and Minnesota made products- in our own facilities. Our line has a variety of treats and chews to engage, occupy, and satisfy pets of all sizes.
We are looking for motivated Associates to join our new facility in Chatfield, MN! In this role, you will be directly responsible for the accurate picking of orders and and preparing parcels for delivery. In addition, light manufacturing/packaging for the safe and efficient packaging of high-quality Pet Treats (bagging, stapling, shrink-wrapping). Associates will become highly functional in multiple areas of the facility. This job requires strong communication, analytical, interpersonal, and team building skills. We foster a good paced, positive working environment. There is no direct customer service responsibilities, or customer interaction. Great opportunity for project oriented organized people.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize individual safety, product quality, and food safety and report any behavior or occurrence that may impact these things
- Support operation of all plant equipment, including, filling, loading, and unloading trays and boxes and sanitizing equipment
- Operate basic plant equipment (i.e. boxers, taper and hand trucks) according to specifications
- Demonstrate high degree of ownership for product quality and food safety through food safe packaging of products (bagging, shrink-wrapping, etc)
- Have attention to detail to accurately fill sales orders and pack an order for ground or pallet shipping, ability to create a Fed Ex label for shipping
- Identify and document root causes, and take corrective actions to solve problems
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Able to operate a computer and utilize the basic standard desktop systems (e.g., ERP, MES, Microsoft Excel)
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Safe Serve and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Previous forklift experience
- Physical Demands: lifting and lowering up to 50 pounds, reaching, standing, walking, stooping, crawling, twisting
- Ability to work with allergens that might be present in food environment
- Able to adhere to GMP requirements (hair/beard nets, gloves, uniforms, hygiene)
