Substitute Teacher

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and adaptable Substitute Teacher to join our educational team. This role is essential in maintaining a consistent learning environment for students in the absence of their regular teacher. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education and experience working with children across various age groups, including preschool and special education settings.

Responsibilities

• Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to ensure continuity of instruction.
• Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
• Engage students in educational activities that promote literacy and childhood development.
• Provide support to students with special needs, adapting lessons as necessary.
• Foster an inclusive atmosphere that encourages participation from all students.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom materials and resources as needed.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred.
• Familiarity with lesson planning and classroom management techniques.
• Background in literacy education or tutoring is a plus.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles, particularly for preschool-aged children.
• Experience in private school environments or special education is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse groups of students and staff.
• Flexibility to adapt to various classroom settings and teaching styles.

Pay: $100.00 - $115.00 per day
