• Use your supervisory skills to oversee a small crew of contract laborers or other County employees performing unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work in streets, drainage, parks, bridges, or other public areas within the County.Â
• Follow and issue oral/written instructions.Â
• Are required to work nights and weekends in emergencies.
• Perform physical labor and may work in various weather conditions.Â
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma or GED, andÂ
• One (1) year of experience in general maintenance or construction work, including some experience as a lead worker; orÂ
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.Â
• Must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License at the time of application.Â
• Must have or be able to obtain the GA Safety Council Flagger's License within one (1) year of employment.
• Must provide and wear approved steel-toe protective footwear during regular working hours.Â
