Under general direction, youÂ
- Perform skilled and complex journeyperson level maintenance and repair in a variety of trades, including carpentry, storm drain, concrete, and asphalt.
- Drive County vehicles, perform preventative maintenance, and supervise a small crew.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned.Â
- This role is on Critical Workforce Category 2, and you must be able to be on call on a 24-hour basis. Â Â
- High School Diploma or GED, andÂ
- Trade School training in a skilled trade, andÂ
- At least four (4) years of general construction work experience in one or more skilled crafts; orÂ
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience. Â
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License at time of application.Â
- Must possess or be able to obtain a Hazardous Material endorsement within six months of hire. Â Â
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.Â
- Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during normal working hours.Â
- Must be available for on-call duty during non-working hours, holidays, and weekends, and must use personal transportation to respond.
- Must possess the ability to follow oral and written instructions.Â
- Must possess the ability to instruct others.
- Experience in multiple skilled crafts.
