POSITION: Instructor, Paralegal Studies
The candidate selected for this position will serve as Instructor of Paralegal Studies
QUICK LOOK:
- This position is a Full-time, 12-month faculty position.
- This instructor will report to the Associate Dean of Business.
- This instructor will teach all Paralegal (PARA) courses in the Associate Degree and Diploma.
- The PARA faculty work together to meet department, division, and college goals.
- In addition to teaching, faculty advise students to meet department, division and college goals.
- In addition to teaching, PARA faculty advise students and collaborate with internal and external partners to promote enrollment and retention.
- Prior teaching experience is a plus, but is not required.
- Some telework is available. Hybrid and online instruction.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Juris Doctorate
- OR
- Bachelor’s Degree in Paralegal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal
- OR
- Master’s Degree in Law or Legal Studies AND work experience as a paralegal
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: (In addition to the minimum qualifications)
· Postsecondary teaching experience
· Experience supervising the work of paralegals
SALARY/BENEFITS:
Salary - $70,928.00 annually. Benefits include: paid holidays, annual and sick leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program, which includes health insurance and retirement plans. Employment is with Chattahoochee Technical College, not with a specific campus.
