The Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence is seeking a bilingual (English and Spanish) Office Receptionist. Experience in a school is HIGHLY PREFERRED. This individual must be friendly and charismatic and will create a welcoming environment by greeting and directing visitors, responding to inquiries from staff, the public, parents, students, etc. by providing requested information and/or referral to other parties; and, when time permits, providing general clerical support.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Answers telephone system to screen calls, transfer calls, respond to inquiries, and take messages.
- Greets individuals entering the building (e.g., visitors, parents, students, vendors, etc.) to respond to inquiries or direct individuals to appropriate location in accordance with established building security procedures.
- Maintains reception area materials (e.g., employment applications, newsletters, event calendars, enrollment applications, registration packets, handbooks, etc.) to provide resource information to visitors.
- Distributes items within the site (e.g., special delivery and overnight mail/packages, messages, etc.) to ensure receipt to addressee and providing material(s).
- Maintains building information physically and digitally via computer spreadsheets (e.g., cumulative files, schedules, staff directories, emergency contacts, etc.).
- Performs general secretarial and clerical functions (e.g., attendance, scheduling, copying, faxing, data entry, filing, etc.) to support office operations.
- Create/Translate letters, spreadsheets, and forms.
- Processes incoming and outgoing mail.
- Performs other duties as may, from time to time, be assigned by the assistant principal and leadership.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- High School Diploma (Required)
- Associate’s Degree (Preferred)
- Spanish language proficient in speaking, reading, and writing (Required)
- Understanding of and commitment to company values.
- Successful results of criminal and employment background check.
- Demonstrates proficient of better experience with computers systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Student Information System (SIS) and email communications.
- Possesses strong time management & organizational skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
- Has the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with teachers, students, parents, the community, and administrative staff.
- Possesses excellent interpersonal skills and displays such between all stakeholders: being courteous, professional, and helpful.
- Possesses excellent communication skills: Oral (including presentations), Written, Interpersonal (active listening), Negotiating and Influencing.
