The Chautauqua Dining Hall is looking for amazingly hospitable, detail-oriented, professional Banquet Captains for the 2025 season. The Dining Hall is located in The Historic Chautauqua Park in Boulder, Colorado at the foot of the Flatirons. The Chautauqua Dining Hall has been a Boulder tradition since 1898.
Banquet Captain Job Description
A Banquet Captain is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the set-up and break-down of the venue as well as the food and beverage service during banquet functions. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Main contact person for the client and/or day-of-event contact. As Captain, introduce yourself, be actively managing the floor, ensure the client is happy, and direct a hospitable, professional front-of-house service.
- Supervise food and beverage service throughout banquet functions ensuring the highest quality standards.
· Greet and welcome client representatives and guests, responding to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
· Process banquet checks accurately and efficiently for payment.
· Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the entire event.
· Serve alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages in accordance with federal, state, local and company regulations.
Qualifications:
- CAN DO ATTITUDE AND ENERGY. Desire and ability to accept and implement instructions.
- Must be able to lift at least 50lbs.
- A flexible schedule is required, including the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
