Description:
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Attend weekly BEO Meetings.
- Lead and supervise banquet staff during events to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate with event planners, Sales Manager and the Food & Beverage Director to ensure accurate and timely event setup.
- Coordinate with Executive Chef and Banquet Sous Chef to ensure timely service.
- Conduct pre-event meetings to communicate event details and expectations to staff.
- Oversee table settings, buffet setups, and other banquet arrangements according to event specifications.
- Ensure staff adhere to quality and safety standards throughout service.
- Address guest concerns promptly and professionally.
- Monitor inventory levels of banquet supplies and equipment, and report needs to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
- Provide training and support to new banquet team members as needed.
- Maintain detailed knowledge of all menu items as noted by chef.
- Anticipate guest needs, respond efficiently and appropriately to guest requests, and provide exceptional service at all times.
- Provide service to guests in a timely, professional and friendly manner.
- Monitor and control guest alcohol consumption.
- Adhere to beverage recipe definitions, portions, sizes and presentation at all times.
- Adhere to all food safety and liquor laws.
- Knowledge of proper radio etiquette. Carry a radio at all times.
- Ensure inventory is secure, appropriately stocked, and handled property.
- Observe proper cleaning procedures and maintain an impeccably clean and orderly service area.
- Ensure proper set-up and maintenance of all service stations and tables.
- Ensure all silverware, glasses and plates are polished and set according to standards.
- Assist with clearing tables as needed.
- Communicate with co-workers and manager to ensure efficient customer service
- Be knowledgeable of Granby Ranch operations, events and other information about local attractions guests may inquire about.
- Adhere to all safety requirements at all times.
- Assist with dining room cleaning and sanitization including tables, chairs, floors, bar.
- Act as a positive, professional role model, adhering to the company’s hospitality standards.
- Maintain an exceptional level of guest service in all interaction with guests, fellow employees, and management.
- Assist and support other departments for races, events and operations on high volume days.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
- Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
- Anticipating guests needs.
- Speak, read, write in English fluently.
- Computer proficient, including knowledge of CRM software, ie. TripleSeat,
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND CERTIFICATIONS:
- Must be at least 21 years old and have an up-to-date T.I.P.S. (or equivalent) Certification
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous banquet or event management experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Must have a valid driver’s license
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
- Outdoor tent service may be required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality service.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, late-nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Able to work 12-14 hours consecutively
