Business Office Manager – Responsibilities:
- Responsible for billing, accounts receivable, and collection activities for the center to include achieving cash collection and AR goals
- Perform and supervise the accounting functions for accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, receptionist, and resident trust fund as assigned
- Organizes, evaluates, and monitors business office operations and assigned personnel in accordance with established standards of practice
- Ensures integrity and confidentiality of all resident financial data
- Oversees month end close activities related to charge capturing and submission of all billing statements and invoices to payers. Ensures that all center standards of practice relating to billing are adhered to
- Interacts with payers to define billing requirements and ensures prompt payment of claims.
- Oversees all census activities including daily, weekly, and monthly balancing with nursing and admission departments
Business Office Manager – Qualifications:
- Completion of post-secondary education preferred or a minimum of five (5) years of related experience in lieu of education
- Long Term Care experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and other third-party payers
- Must be able to work on weekends and overtime when necessary
- Advanced computer knowledge (i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and experience relative to accounts receivable, accounts payable, and payroll processing
