What are the responsibilities and job description for the Rep Payee Specialist position at CHD Brand?
Center for Human Development, (CHD), is currently looking for a Rep Payee Specialist to join the team. The Rep Payee will work within the fiscal department serving representative payee clients to administer client bill payment and client financial related matters. This position interacts directly with the programs to coordinate on client funds management.
Responsibilities
- Builds a working relationship with Agency staff relative to client bill payment and accounting issues.
- Acts as a liaison with outside banks and Social Security Agency offices with respect to client matters.
- Processes payments on behalf of clients ensuring adequate documentation to substantiate payment.
- Review clients’ account monthly for accuracy.
- Monthly filing of client’s records
- Maintains client accounting records and supporting documentation.
- Works with residential supervisors and other staff to manage client budgets.
- Prepares reports to the Social Security Administration (SSA) and other agencies that serve the beneficiary.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of bookkeeping or funds management experience.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field preferred.
- Must be organized and have the ability to multitask.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work well with a large variety of people
- Ability to provide excellent customer service.
- Meticulous and detail-oriented; Accuracy in daily work
- Ability to prioritize work and meet communicated schedules and deadlines.
- Adherence to policies, procedures and instructions.
- Proficiency in Excel, Outlook and Word and familiarity with accounting software.
- AccuFund is a plus
- General math skills, ability to work with numbers.
- Direct financial experience in non-profit human services organization and Representative Payee experience preferred but not required.
