Job Description
COMC is looking to hire an accomplished HR Generalist to execute the HR functions at our Redmond, WA location. This person will partner with onsite managers, directors, and HR peers to help establish a positive presence and consistent application of people strategies, process improvements, and new company policies and programs for this worksite. The Human Resources Generalist is an individual contributor reporting to the HRBP, Operations.
The ideal candidate would be an experienced HR professional who has a proven track record of achieving outcomes, particularly, in start-up environments, comfortable leading through ambiguity and navigating change, has a high degree of confidence within the HR discipline, and has growth aspirations.
Job Responsibilities
- Conduct new hire orientation and manages employee recognition programs.
- Serves as the primary point of contact to managers for performance management resolution and advisory, from documented coaching to termination, including facilitating document review.
- Lead leave management programs and be familiar with FMLA, PFL, PSL, ADA, Pregnancy including COVID-19 leaves, RTW & safety programs.
- Maintain employee data integrity in the HRIS system (Paycom) through management of personnel action forms, relating to the employees pay, status, location, access etc.
- Train end users on the HRIS system and drive accountability to timekeeping standards such as timecard approvals, meal and rest break requirements, time off policies, etc
- Own and champion a best-in-class service culture, performing culture chats, analyzing trends, and decreasing turnover and satisfactorily achieving other KPIs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute HR programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Provide HR support and facilitation of open enrollment, annual review appraisals, benefit enrollment changes, COBRA audits, and more.
- Reinforce best practices and answer employee and manager inquiries about HR programs, policies, and other HR-related items in a timely manner.
- Assist with year-end compliance reporting, represent company in unemployment hearings.
- Stay up to date with regulatory and compliance initiatives and laws.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Qualifications
- At least 3-5 years of experience in a HR Generalist capacity or higher.
- Strong experience in Employee Relations and Leave Administration.
- 2 years of experience with HRIS.
- A Bachelors degree or higher in Human Resources or related field of study.
Additional Qualifications
- Excellent verbal communication and good problem-solving skills.
- High level of Emotional Intelligence, working with change management.
- Is highly adaptable and agile, adept at taking and providing feedback.
- Experience working in a retail/warehouse environment is ideal.
- Experience working with cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams.
- Strong organizational and creative design skills preferred.
- Experience with Paycom, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office
- Intermediate user of Excel.

Pay: From $78,000 to 88,000 annually
