Job Description 

COMC is looking to hire a Staff Accountant to become our Senior Accountant’s right-hand person. With direct reporting to the Accounting Manager, you’ll play an instrumental role in helping us with our commitment to building a results-driven equitable, thriving growth environment through generating accurate financial data and building robust financial processes. You will have a high degree of visibility in the entire accounting and finance function and hence the opportunity to build a diverse set of experiences for your career. You will assist in key aspects of accounting operations, tax and compliance. About the role: 

 This cross-functional role interfaces with Operations, People Ops, Engineering, Sales & Marketing, and Product. The role will assist with multiple areas of our accounting operations including month-end-close, cost accounting, financial reporting, and software implementation. You will be key to generating accurate historical financial data that inform critical business recommendations.

Job Responsibilities 

• Prepare accounts payable and receivable entries.
• Assist company personnel with compliance and accounting control procedures.
• Reconcile accounts.
• Maintain and update account balances and bank statements.
• Document and support business processes and accounting policies.
• Maintain the general ledger.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end close process.
• Analyze financial data to prepare financial records and forecast budgets.
• Process disbursements to customers.
• Support payroll processing tasks.
• Uphold COMC values, quality standards, and exemplify C.A.R.D. culture.
• Be a willing and collaborative partner to support all areas of the organization.
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• 1-2 years of accounting experience preferred.
• Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Foundational knowledge of accounting, cost accounting, and GAAP.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with an analytical mindset.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines.

Additional Job Qualifications

• Experience with or interested in learning about the trading card industry
• Knowledgeable about professional sporting industry (NBA, NFL, MLB, including Hockey and Soccer etc.)
• Knowledge in the non-sports card industry (Marvel, Entertainment, Trading Card Games, Pop Culture)

Work Location 

• Preferred Location – Redmond, WA
• Hybrid 3 days in Office.

Job Type: Full-time 40-hour work week 

Salary : $77,969 - $80,000
