What are the responsibilities and job description for the VP of Data Sales position at CheckedUp?
This role will support health care companies and create valuable business insights by combining real world data with technology provided via syndicated data solutions. The Data Insights & Sales Manager will be primarily responsible for leveraging data to build the story of the value proposition of CheckedUp to existing and potential pharmaceutical clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Cooperate with analytics team to derive insights that can be leveraged to boost sales, include insights into compelling pitches to engage clients
- Think strategically how can data products and insights support sales to media agencies and sponsors
- Be proactive considering the relevant metrics and story to tell in crafting presentations that will lead to new accounts and renewals
- Collaborate with designated sales leaders to understand how data can be leveraged to reshape product offering and support the sales pipeline
- Build a narrative utilizing prescription data (or other data) to support the sales cycle on the sponsor side
- Make compelling and persuasive presentations to clients, incorporating data insights and explaining CheckedUp’s value proposition
- Go beyond prescription data and consider other type of data that could help build a persuasive story of how we differentiate ourselves vs. competitors
- Build long-term relationships with data counterparts at the clients’ sites, with the goal of becoming a well-rounded advisor (on topics such as marketing, market research, sales management, industry issues trends, CheckedUp product).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks such as actively listening to our customer’s need while navigating our CRM and consistently providing accurate and complete information on the requested topic.
- High work ethic, dependable and punctual in reporting for scheduled work.
- Assure the execution of strategic account plans, including development and implementation of qualitative and quantitative metrics for achieving account success
- Utilize CRM to document actions regarding planning and sales activities (ie, sales calls, customer events, opportunities, e-marketing campaigns) and shares account intelligence with internal members during account strategy meetings
- Present sales opportunities to management and work with the internal departments/team members to close large complex sales
- Keep well-informed of assigned industry trends, technological and process changes, new developments, services and other general information related to the assigned accounts and market scope
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (an advanced degree is preferred).
- 5-7 years of sales or account management experience in the healthcare space (specifically enterprise sales in roles in which utilizing data insights was necessary)
- Revenue driven mindset: with an innate streak for Sales and BD, with clear drive and determination to exceed goals
- Possesses relevant Sales Background with excellent analytical, presentation and writing skills – to be able to work independently and within a team.
- An independent and customer-focused individual, who is knowledgeable, consultative, collaborative, a problem solver, can interpret data and translate it to customers, creative, resourceful, organized
- Ideally possesses solid understanding of the Pharma Industry and its trends
