Responsibilities
- Greet guests promptly and courteously as they arrive at the restaurant.
- Present menus and provide detailed information about food and beverage offerings.
- Take accurate orders using the OpenTable system or similar software.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and timely service.
- Handle guest inquiries and complaints with professionalism, providing solutions when necessary.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and promotions to enhance guest experience.
- Manage time effectively during busy shifts to ensure all guests receive prompt service.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or as a Server is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong culinary knowledge with an understanding of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and calculating bills accurately.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.
- Familiarity with OpenTable or similar reservation systems is advantageous.
- A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service are essential.
