What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lunch/Dinner Server Wanted position at The Over/Under Bar & Grill?
Duties:
- Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner
- Take food and drink orders accurately and efficiently
- Enter orders into the POS system and process payments through the cash register
- Deliver food and beverages to tables in a timely manner
- Ensure guest satisfaction by providing excellent customer service
- Assist with bussing tables and maintaining cleanliness in the dining area
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure accurate order preparation and timely delivery
- Handle cash transactions, including making change and processing credit card payments
- Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a server or in a customer service role is preferred but not required
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change
- Ability to operate a cash register and POS system
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective guest relations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet customer needs promptly
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices is a plus
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
