Job Summary:
The Customer Service Representative is responsible for receiving, investigating and responding to customer inquiries regarding placing orders, returns and shipment of orders. The Customer Service Representative works closely with sales to resolve discrepancies with customer accounts.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Answering incoming phone calls
• Providing customers with outstanding customer service via phone and e-mail
• Process customer orders in a timely manner
• Communicating with customers on the status of back orders and order issues
• Provide sales support to assigned sales representatives
• Customer file maintenance
• Front desk backup when visitor cannot locate CMA employee
• Work closely with sales Rep and brokers
• Invoice management which entails processing, filing, scanning and mailing out
• Work closely with all depts including Sales Reps, Brokers, Shipping, Receiving, Purchasing, Logistics, Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payable. Quality Assurance
• Problem solving and exploring answers or offering alternative solutions
• Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
• High school diploma, minimum, Associate’s Degree, preferred
• 2-3 years’ experience in a customer service related field
• Demonstrated solid working knowledge of Microsoft Applications, including Word & Excel (including spreadsheets)
• Ability to multi-task and possess excellent follow up skills
• Excellent problem solving techniques
• Effective communication skills both written and verbal
• Superior organizational skills
• Highest level of integrity and discretion
• Attention to detail
• EDI knowledge
