Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and mentor kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
- Delegate tasks and oversee food preparation during catering events.
- Maintain a positive and professional kitchen culture.
- Ensure kitchen staff follow company standards and food safety regulations.
- Execute and oversee all cooking techniques, including roasting, grilling, sautéing, braising, and sous vide.
- Ensure food is prepared according to recipes, portion sizes, and presentation standards.
- Handle high-volume cooking while maintaining efficiency and speed.
- Ensure food is properly cooked, packed, and delivered for off-site catering events.
- Monitor ingredient stock levels and assist with ordering supplies.
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Minimize food waste and maintain cost efficiency.
- Enforce health and safety regulations in the kitchen.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all kitchen areas.
- Ensure proper handling of perishable and prepared foods.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of professional experience
- Ability to lead and motivate a team in fast- paced environment
- Knowledge cooking techniques
- Strong knife skills
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen
- Excellent organizational and time- management skills
- Attention to detail
- A team player with good communication skills
- Patient with an ability to stay positive under pressure
- Very good physical condition and endurance
- Punctual and possess a good attitude
- Must have open availability Monday - Saturday, (6 AM- 5PM)
- Food Handler’s Certification is a plus
Salary : $26 - $30
