Working as the Catering Senior Sous Chef, you will be responsible for assisting in the successful operation of the Culinary Department for a facility. You will assist in the supervision, preparation, and cooking of various food items, developing daily menu items and their preparation and garnishment. You may be responsible for the supervision of hourly associates and working with the Executive Chef / Chef to develop new menus and assist with ordering. This is an exciting opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional. This position requires Monday through Friday availability.
Key Responsibilities :
- Produces and executes catering events at a high level of quality and presentation
- Ensures services are prepared in a timely manner to facilitate on time delivery
- Production planning and strategy for department success
- Communicates effectively with event catering teams and associates
- Assists the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Assists the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and control expenditures for the account
- Rolls out new culinary programs in conjunction with Company marketing and culinary team
- Follows all HACCP and Safety policies and programs
- Maintains organization and proper handling of ingredients and finished product
- Other duties as assigned
