Chefman is seeking a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Accounts Payable Specialist. This individual should be capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. This role is based out of our office in Mahwah, NJ.
Role and Responsibilities
- Efficiently and accurately manage incoming invoices and correspondence in the AP inbox.
- Prioritize and route emails to the appropriate departments for resolution.
- Enter bills into the accounting system, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Maintain and track the bill approval workflow, addressing any issues that arise.
- Process warranty-related payments, verifying supporting documentation and approvals.
- Review and classify company credit card statements accurately.
- Reconcile credit card statements with receipts and records.
Skills and Proficiencies
- Proven experience in accounts payable, with the ability to handle complex tasks.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulatory compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
- Experience with NetSuite is a plus.
