The Position
This role requires regular office presence. The Accounts Payable Specialist works closely with the CFO and assists the accounting team in various tasks associated with processing financial transactions. Some key duties involve verifying vendor statements, reconciling accounts payable, and managing the company's AMEX bill.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify vendor statements to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Process financial transactions and reconcile accounts payable
- Manage the preparation and submission of bills, bank deposits, and invoices
- Process employee travel expenses
- Perform EDI uploads to the accounting system
- Enter vendor invoices into Sage Peachtree
- Support special projects led by the department head
- Contribute to month-end and year-end closing reports
- Maintain accurate records of open AP listings and payable listings
- Assist with other tasks as necessary
