The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the following anticipated vacancy. The District reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget. Position: Anticipated Opening SummerFest Front Desk LeaderLocation: Community EducationThis will be a Seasonal, non-benefited position running July 7th-August 8th. The weekly hours will vary based on the needs of the program.
Program hours are 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Ability to work morning and afternoon shifts will be required. Job Description: We are looking for a part-time Front Desk Leader for a leadership position during the full day summer program.

Job Goal: Job Goal: To assist in providing an enriching, exciting, and fun summer experience to the children enrolled in our Chelmsford Community Education Summer Programs, ensuring all participants have a memorable time during any activities provided. Candidates must be willing to meet with Summerfest Supervisor prior to summer to talk about expectations for the summer and how best to implement a quick and effective check in process. During the Summer candidates must be able to keep the Front Desk Area and paperwork in order.
Candidates must also be willing to inform Supervisors of damaged or needed supplies, be willing to help oversee Supportive Staff Members in their area, able to offer positive reinforcement to all children, maintain a positive attitude as well as a professional demeanor, and perform other duties as assigned. The candidate should have the ability to work in a fast pace environment and have a flexible mindset allowing them to adapt to sudden changes in plans (for example, rainy days, in house visitors, occasional changes to schedule).Front Desk Responsibilities: Responsible for keeping track and maintaining the attendance for all Staff and Students. Candidates must have self motivation and excellent organizational skills.Maintain confidential files regarding/including medical, custody and incident reports.Must interact with all staff, students, and parents on a daily basis. Candidates must be positive, welcoming and be comfortable talking with parents and staff.Step in for Supervisor when they are out of the building.Sign incident or injury reports as directed by the Nurse or Supervisor.
Provide basic first aid (bandaids, icepacks) when the nurse is not available.Assists with Temperature Checks when needed. Flexibility to work morning or afternoon shifts. Willingness to work for at least 4 Monday-Friday part time weeks out of the 5 weeks of operation. There will be additional hours available for planning, setup and breakdown of Summerfest.
