The district reserves the right to change this vacancy or not fill this vacancy based on further staffing changes, enrollment, or budget.Position: Summer Basketball Program CoordinatorLocation: Community Education Summer ProgramThe Summer Basketball Program Coordinator will facilitate our Youth and High School Summer Basketball leagues. The 2025 season will run from July 7th to August 6th with game times from 6-8pm on Mondays and Wednesday with additional nights added based on enrollment numbers. All players will have two 1-hour sessions per week.
Administrative Tasks: * Recruit & hire referees * Responsible to oversee all referees are required to be CORI checked and all paperwork is received prior to working * Train and schedule referees * Organize and schedule skills & drills parent information night in June* Assist in marketing * Outreach to youth leagues to recruit annually * Create master schedule * Secure gym space rentals for season * Review rosters and lists * Answer parent emails (shared duty) * Meet with Chelmsford Community Education Staff * Review established rules and policies * Communicate with coaches and other affiliates * T-shirt pricing, ordering, organization, and distribution * Data quality assurance and organization * Supplies: work with CommEd staff prior to placing orders * Payroll: provide CommEd staff with payroll spreadsheet (including back up) in a timely manner
