What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Service Apprentice (SOUTH) position at Chelsea Building Products?
Essential job functions:
- Assist sales team with installation support
- Home exterior construction/carpentry knowledge/experience (preferred)
- Facilitate installation trainings
- Perform requested job site inspections
- Assist with installation instructions/documents
- Product testing
- Field communication w/distribution, dealers, Everlast Sales, contractors, and homeowners.
- Travel & train with existing technical service manager of that region at the beginning
Key Duties:
· Understand brand features/benefits and competitive edge over the competition
· Communicate with colleagues using Microsoft based software
· Presenting live training product installation
· Travel up to 75% to job sites/customer events/trade shows
· Assist in developing and launching new products
· Work with quality, customer service, and customers to investigate and resolve quality & warranty issues/claims
Qualifications:
- Associates Degree (preferred)
- Residential construction and/or similar technical service knowledge
- Strong communicator
- Ability to multi-task at a high level
- Independent worker
- Ability to meet deadline
- Troubleshooting skills
- Microsoft Office software (PowerPoint demonstrations)
- Present to audiences
