A Day in the Life as a Technical Service Apprentice
As a Technical Service Apprentice, you will assist in the phone support of end users and / or distributors by communicating and directing technicians to a safe and sequential diagnosis of required repairs relative to machine service and product installation issues. This is also a hands-on position in which you will routinely repair various types of commercial laundry equipment. Responsibilities include :
- Occasionally assist with troubleshooting and diagnosing manufacturer level technical service issues for customers and distributor service personnel relating to product installation and service questions.
- Assisting customers with part number identification.
- Recording all technical calls in a customer service module.
- When qualified, traveling to customer locations to assist with equipment maintenance.
- Testing, troubleshooting, repairing, converting, and rebuilding Girbau branded products, as needed.
- Assisting with field service work that will include installation and field repairs.
