About the Opportunity
Chelsea Piers is seeking to hire a part-time Assistant floater Teacher to join our CP Kids Early Learning Center team. In this role, you will be responsible overseeing the safety and well-being of our daycare students from 3 months to 5 years old in several of our CP Kids classrooms, providing coverage as needed. You will work closely with other teachers to develop and plan age-appropriate lessons and play with the children. Candidates will have some experience working with infants. This is an exciting role that will give you the chance to be creative and make a positive impact on the youngest members of the Chelsea Piers Community.

Primary Responsibilities

Create and implement a dynamic, creative, age-appropriate curriculum

Interact with children and engage in developmentally appropriate play and activities all day

Engage in on-going communication with parents about each child’s development via verbal and written communication

Create and implement structured gross motor activities each day

Plan and schedule the daily classroom activities

Work and collaborate within a team
Schedule: Monday thru Friday. Our daycare is open from 7:30am-6pm, so your hours may vary within this range. Full-Time, 40 hours/week.
Compensation: $18/hour
Qualifications
Qualifications

Minimum 1 year as an assistant teacher in an early childhood setting or similar experience

Experience working with infants is a must
