What We Need:
- We need a Warehouse Manager who run the day-to-day operations of our 200k ft2 distribution center.
What You Will Do:
Primary Components
- Manage finished goods receipt and put away
- Manage picking and staging for shipment
- Manage shipments
General / Overarching Components
- Through actions, promote a safe work environment

- Provide day-to-day oversight and 2 shift x 5 day leadership to the ~25 member team
- Flexibility to provide oversight on a handful of Saturdays and over a weekend for an annual physical inventory
- Prepare and provide various reports and analyses on a daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis. Including KPIs/metrics. Develop additional metrics to identify trends and opportunities.
- Identify, prioritize and execute on opportunities to improve business performance. Including thru preparation of detailed correction of error documentation for specific events
- Be prepared to manage in a fast paced and challenging, however, rewarding environment
Detailed Components
- Ensure customer receives the right product, in the right condition, on-time. Perform at an optimal cost.
- In partnership with Warehouse team members, Quality Control, Repack and Inventory Control, own all aspects of finished goods and raw material inventory within the distribution facility. Including but not limited to: accurate and complete scanning, proper handling of damages and reconciliation and explanation of all inventory variances
- Actively maintain / manage the shipping schedule
- Actively manage rotation of inventory to prevent write-offs
- Actively manage facility layout to ensure safe efficient space utilization
- Coordinate and collaborate with customer service and repack to maximize customer service levels
- Through cycle count and other procedures ensure system inventories are accurate (quantity by location and lot).
- Through sound transaction processing procedures, ensure transaction processing is performed timely and accurately
- Maintain organized and clear records of work (receipts, picks, exceptions, shipments, etc)
Administrative & Other Components
- Negotiate, present to management and administrate all equipment leases and/or purchases.
- Prepare and maintain project plans / savings projects and associated supporting schedules / financials. Build models to assess the impact of proposed scenarios.
- Collaborate with IT and others to design, propose and implement solutions
- Schedule shifts for warehouse staff.
- Maintain compliance with SQF (Safe Quality Food) QAI (Organic Certification) at all times. Prepare for annual audits.
- Collaborate and coordinate with maintenance and/or third parties to ensure equipment and facilities are maintained.
- Prepare and perform annual reviews
- Train, mentor and develop staff. Including documentation of SOPs and training document
- Develop a budget and mid-year forecast for all areas of responsibility. Measure and monitor actual performance vs. budgeted performance and explain variations.
- Manage staff, set expectations and objectives for department and individuals, while effectively handling all employee relations
- Keep a continuous improvement focus through development and implementation of warehouse operations system improvements, process flow and space requirements. Including but not limited to: organizational structure, process improvements, cost optimization, staff sharing / re-allocation, etc. Capture these opportunities on the Savings Project Listing.
- Communicate and partner effectively with other departments company-wide, provide excellent partnerships through appropriate elevation and delegation of tasks
- Act as a coach, mentor and trainer for al warehouse management and employees, through development of training programs and employee feedback
- Maintain Performance and Metrics for key areas. Including but not limited to: aged inventory, warehouse productivity, WMS data integrity, spending and cost reductions
- Develop, direct and maintain a safe and healthy work environment through compliance and enforcement of company standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations
What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum (5) years of experience in warehouse management with working knowledge of finished good warehouse operations (i.e. distribution)
- Experience with Continuous Improvement (i.e. Lean Six Sigma Certification) is a plus
- Experience in consumer package products or similar industry strongly preferred
- Experience using a top or mid-tier WMS and ERP
- Strong relationship building skills
- Strong verbal/written communication skills
- Strong technical, problem solving, planning and process skills
Salary : $78,500 - $99,400
