What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mixing Technician position at Chemico LLC?
Position Summary
The Mixing Technician will be responsible for operating the epoxy mix station. Based on department shift station demand, mechanically measure, and dispense precise mix ratios of two or more epoxy part kits. Each mixed pot container will be properly labeled with safety, time expiration and mix ratio information.
- Learn to be proficient in operating mix station
- Understand the demand of what type and volume of mix is required.
- Ensure the mix ratios are accurate
- Label each completed pot mix with proper safety, time and mix ratio information.
- Track and monitor (electronically)Mix ratios
- Start and mix times Issued out (to where, and frequency) and expiration timeKit (part 1, 2, etc.) volume inventories to create mixes (use FIFO method) Mix
- Retrieve unused or expired pot mixed from point-of-use stations
- Monitor the maintenance and upkeep of the mix station.
- Provides technical support including preventive maintenance, problem identification and resolution, and maximization of material use
- Interfaces with internal customers, working on-site to create process efficiencies
- Identifies cost-saving opportunities and sets goals for achievement
- Performs analytical testing on materials
- Evaluates mechanical processes in relation to utilization of materials.
- Perform hard count inventories as required.
- Receive / monitor product deliveries and submit proper paperwork as required.
- Label all secondary containers with appropriate GHS label.
- Work with customer to ensure all Chemico controlled areas are kept clean.
- Performs other duties and assignments as required Knowledge, skills and abilities

Required Qualifications:
- High school /GED required
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Computer proficient with the ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and the internet required
- Familiarity with other software applications
Work Environment:
Ability to handle multiple priorities and demands in a fast-paced environment. This joboperates in a manufacturing environment. This role requires presence on the manufacturing floor and a significant amount of walking on concrete surfaces. This role also routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers and filing cabinets. Ability to work in a team fostered environment. Ability to work in a multi-tasked environment. Strong personality and focus in fast-paced and demanding environments. Ability to adapt to change quickly and multi-task.
