Social Media Content Intern (Remote, San Diego-Based)

Chemistry PR is looking for a social media-savvy intern to support our content team with photo and video creation for a range of lifestyle, hospitality, and consumer brands. This is a great opportunity for someone who has a sharp eye for aesthetics, is passionate about storytelling through short-form video, and wants hands-on experience creating content for real clients. We are ready to onboard the right candidate immediately.

This internship is remote, but you’ll need to be based in San Diego and available for occasional weekday and evening shoots. You’ll also join weekly virtual team check-ins and contribute ideas to content planning and creative development.

We’re looking for someone who’s both skilled and excited about content—someone who lives on Instagram and TikTok, keeps up with trends, and wants to grow their portfolio while collaborating with an experienced, creative team.

What You’ll Do:

• Support the team in shooting and editing short-form photo and video content
• Assist in creating content based on briefs and social media strategies
• Write clean, on-brand captions with attention to grammar and voice
• Stay on top of trends, sounds, formats, and visual styles
• Help brainstorm creative ideas and pitch content concepts
• Be present at select shoots and events as needed
• Communicate timelines and feedback with the team clearly

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

• Is based in San Diego and available for occasional weekday and evening shoots
• Has some hands-on experience with photography, video creation, and editing
• Understands what performs well on TikTok and Instagram
• Has a creative eye and a polished aesthetic
• Is comfortable working independently and takes initiative
• Is reliable, organized, and communicative
• Knows the basics of editing (CapCut, Premiere, Final Cut Pro, or similar)
• Has strong writing skills and attention to detail
• Have your own gear (camera, mic, lighting) and/or design experience—but not required

Compensation:

Paid internship. $17.25 per hour. 16-20 hours per week.
