Position Overview:
Chemonics International seeks a Sr Associate for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion. The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) Senior Associate conducts administrative operations and supports the DE&I team in implementing Chemonics' global DE&I strategy. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated interest in corporate diversity and inclusion practices as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.
Responsibilities:
- Manages logistics for DE&I meetings, including scheduling, sending invitations, creating and distributing agendas, booking conference rooms or external spaces, drafting communications, preparing presentation materials, sharing meeting minutes, processing payments, and developing other materials as requested.
- Researches and coordinates corporate projects as requested. Provides recommendations and insights based on research.
- Manages logistics of Chemonics Mentorship Leadership program including maintaining mentorship trainings and files, scheduling and facilitating orientations, check-in meetings and regular communications with program participants
- Supports DE&I- related communications, ; drafting (as needed) engaging DE&I content for sharing;
- Coordinates with teams across the company to produce content, guides, and other marketing materials for primarily internal audiences
- Updates and maintains the DE&I file system. Works with IT and Records Management to build new structures and processes to more effectively manage files. Updates SharePoint pages with office-specific information.
- Supports the ODE&I in coordinating DE&I initiatives.
- Attends internal and external DE&I meetings, events, and training sessions and maintains relationships with key internal client groups (e.g., Human Resources, Strategic Communications, Executive Office, Operations teams, the GESI practice, and other teams).
- Fosters and demonstrates a workplace inclusive of creating opportunity, diverse perspectives, serving others, building trust, innovation, and exceeding expectations.
- Understands organizational dynamics and actively works to cultivate DE&I allies across the organization.
- Exercises and maintains confidentiality of information as it pertains to DE&I initiatives and information.
- Participates in new business opportunities, contributing to successful proposal development, and ensures new business efforts follow Chemonics' values, ethics, standards, and best practices.
Requirements:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The qualifications listed below are representative of the required knowledge, skills, and/or abilities needed to perform the principal duties.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Organizational leadership, Business Administration or other job-relevant field required.
- Minimum one year of work experience in a professional office work environment required.
- Working knowledge of current best practices and trends in diversity and inclusion, including familiarity with key concepts (e.g. cultural competence, unconscious bias, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to handle routine tasks and operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to multitask with strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
- Experience coordinating events, managing logistics, identifying speakers, and developing agendas/materials.
- Shows a committed and proactive approach to diversity and inclusion and to own personal development in this area.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; strong cross-culture communication and sensitivity skills.
- Ability to maintain discretion and work with highly confidential and/or protected information required.
- Demonstrated client service skills and ability to anticipate the needs of stakeholders.
- Familiarity with field of international development.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills. English proficiency required; foreign language skills in French, Spanish, or Arabic is a plus.
- Proven ability to work as part of a team.
- Excellent skills in excel, word processing, and presentation tools/applications

The Salary Range for this position is expected to be: $64,100 - $80,100.
An employee's pay position will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs.
Overtime exemption status may change due to state regulatory requirements.
