Associate Chemist

Chemspec-API is looking for an analytical Associate Chemist to join the analytical lab in a GMP pharmaceutical environment.

The Associate Chemist will be performing routine analysis for raw materials, starting materials, intermediates, final products, and the stability study samples using laboratory techniques and instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, pH, and KF etc.

The Role

• Under the supervision of the manager, carry out activities in support of the manufacturing of pharmaceutical products in a cGMP regulated environment. These activities include raw material analysis, in-process testing, finished product testing, and physical evaluation of products.
• Perform routine lab operations, such as preparing reagents, and replenishing supplies
• Perform non-routine analysis to support the research work.
• Maintain and calibrate analytical instruments according to the SOPs.
• Assist other groups’ projects if necessary.

The Candidate

• MS/BS in Chemistry/Pharmaceutics.
• 0-5 years industry experience in pharmaceutical or chemical companies.
• Lab skills in GC, HPLC, UV, TLC, Potentiometric & Karl Fisher titration and wet chemistry, etc.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with GMP and ICH regulations.
• Working knowledge of general computer software such as Microsoft Word and Excel programs.
