About Us
Chemstream Inc. operates a large fleet that includes both DOT and Non-DOT, light and heavy-duty vehicles and equipment. We are seeking an experienced Fleet Manager to take ownership of our fleet operations, optimize performance, and implement cost-saving strategies while ensuring full regulatory compliance.
Why This Role Matters
As Fleet Manager, you will play a key role in maximizing fleet efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring operational excellence. You will work directly with DOT and HSE Managers, while reporting directly to company leadership, providing strategic insights and recommendations to enhance fleet performance.
What You’ll Do
✔ Oversee all fleet operations, ensuring vehicles are well-maintained, efficient, and compliant with regulations.
✔ Further develop and enforce fleet policies and procedures, to minimize downtime and extend vehicle lifespan.
✔ Utilize fleet management software to monitor performance, fuel consumption, and compliance.
✔ Support adherence to DOT and non-DOT regulations, maintaining accurate records for inspections, registrations, and insurance.
✔ Provide oversight and supervision of vehicle operations, maintenance, and compliance.
✔ Analyze fleet data and performance metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities and areas for improvement.
✔ Implement cost reduction strategies, including fuel efficiency programs and vendor contract negotiations.
✔ Assist in fleet safety programs to reduce accidents, downtime, and compliance risks.
✔ Work directly with company leadership to develop and execute strategic fleet initiatives.
✔ Work primarily standard office hours, with some extended hours and occasional travel as needed.
What We’re Looking For
✔ 3 years of experience in Fleet Management, overseeing both light-duty and heavy-duty assets.
✔ Strong expertise in fleet management software, ELD units, and vehicle monitoring systems.
✔ In-depth knowledge of DOT and non-DOT regulations, compliance, and fleet best practices.
✔ Proven ability to analyze fleet performance data and implement cost-saving initiatives.
✔ Strong organizational, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
✔ Experience with vendor negotiations and contract management is a plus.
✔ Ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and influence key operational decisions.
