About the role:
The Sr. Director, Global Supply Chain & Logistics will provide overall leadership and management for ChemTreat's Supply Chain & Logistics organization. This scope of this business is based in North and South America and entails responsibility for overall leadership in Inventory Management, On Time Delivery, and Logistics Optimization Strategies for network and warehouse efficiency.
This person will report to our VP, Operations, and come onsite in Glen Allen, VA, day to day. We expect this role to travel up to 35% across North America with potential to visit manufacturing sites, vendors, and or customer sites.
Responsibilities
Develops appropriate Supply Chain & Logistics strategy, in conjunction with Strategic Sourcing, to maximize customer delivery requirements, supply security and schedule adherence while maintaining cost effectiveness.
Develops Insource vs Outsource strategy. Identifying third party logistics and warehousing partners to optimize cost, service, on time delivery. Provide sales with ease of entry into new markets and growth opportunities in existing.
Owns vendor relationships and procurement activities for both warehousing and logistic partners.
Leads the inventory management process delivering on inventory value and working capital goals. Develops and communicates plans which ensure resources are optimized and service levels are not sacrificed, and adequate inventory exists to support the organization.
Partners with manufacturing departments to determine and set up inter and intracompany transfers, production schedule changes, and ship date information.
Leads and partners with key stake holders across the business driving process improvement to achieve business objectives. Collaborates frequently with Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, Customer Service, and Veralto Enterprise teams. Reviews and monitors operating budgets
Cultivates a culture of continuous improvement, professional growth, cross functional collaboration and goal planning and execution. Identifies and implements actions to maximize synergistic opportunities between all global entities.
Leads the Supply Chain & Logistics team in defining, executing, and monitoring best practices by measuring performance through routine analysis and reporting on agreed upon Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) establishing countermeasures as required.
Hires and retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and provides ongoing performance feedback. Maintains a safe and professional work environment.
Ensures team compliance with U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), International Air Transport Association (IATA), and other regulatory requirements, Company policies, operating procedures, processes, and task assignments.
Are you qualified?
Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience or Master’s degree with 7+ years’ experience and at least 5+ years managing people
Minimum of 5 years experience in Logistics, specifically with contract management and supply chain
Demonstrated results leading multiple sites in cost reductions, supplier risk analyses and management, strategy development, and inventory and cash flow improvements
Proven global agility and business acumen, with substantial experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
Salary : $195,000 - $225,000
