About the Role:
The Technical Support Consultant is responsible for actively driving and managing the technology selection stage of the sales process, working in conjunction with the sales team as the key technical advisor and product advocate for our products and solutions. The Technical Support Consultant must be able to articulate product and mechanical solutions to customers and sales representatives. Must be able to establish and maintain strong relationships throughout the sales cycle and build followership.
What Will I Be Doing?
- Provide and coordinate Tech Service phone support to sales reps: for product selection, troubleshooting applications and failures, and assist with proposals
- SharePoint support for Tech services, margin enhancement through MAVE, assist with revenue growth, site audits for various water treatment issues and present at customer seminars.
- Train customers, field sales representatives and other ChemTreat associates as required
- Responsible for representing the product to customers and at events such as conferences, seminars, etc.
- Contribute to growth in key industries while growing total operating profit.
- Responsible for supporting corporate account managers as assigned to manage key performance indicators and drive results.
- Eliminate sales obstacles through creative and strategic approaches
What Are the Requirements?
- Bachelors of Arts/Sciences or Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or related fields.
- 10 years of field experience in water treatment will be considered as an equivalent to a 4-year degree.
- 3 or more years’ experience with a major water treatment company.
- Good background in one or more key industries involving water or waste water treatment processes
- Technical and in-depth knowledge in key applications including water clarification with coagulants and flocculants; cooling water treatment incorporating corrosion and scale inhibitors and biocides; membrane filtration incorporating scale inhibitors, cleaners & biocides; and boiler water treatment program
- Ability to present treatment recommendation in both oral and written communications.
- Able to respond to functional and technical elements of proposals and bids.
- Able to convey customer requirements to product management teams.
The annual pay range for this role is $140,000-$180,000.This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and this range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in CO, NYC, WA, and CA. This range may be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
