The Security Assistant will analyze complex security problems, advise supervisors, recommend polygraph examinations, and maintain liaison with other divisions and agencies.

Responsibilities
- Proficient in internet research to conduct research and/or open-source checks in aid of investigations.
- Conducts and interprets database checks, credit reports, and performs data entry.
- Provides support and service to the government customer, including logs, audits, analysis, inventory, workflow tracking, and presentations.
- Supports, analyzes, and researches complex problems related to Personal Security.
- Advises supervisors on controversial matters and performs extensive indices checks and arrest record checks.
- Recommends polygraph examinations and interviews, and composes communications for HQ Divisions.
- Summarizes data in formal written analyses and maintains liaison with other HQ Divisions, DOJ, and other agencies.
- Coordinates with other customer components and recommends new methods for passing and affirming clearances.
- Performs security assessment investigations and prepares detailed analyses of information.
- Assists with briefings and debriefings, maintains logs, updates workflow tracking programs, and provides customer service and appointment scheduling.
- Uploads official documents into the defined system of record and management systems
- Other duties as assigned
- Minimum High School Dipolma or GED required
- Must be a US Citizen
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Experienced in routine office administrative support functions.
- Analytical ability to review and analyze incoming material and investigative reports for security vulnerabilities and investigative leads.
- Current TS security clearance and capable of obtaining SCI access, including passing a security CI polygraph exam.
- Skill in operating a personal computer and standard office equipment.
- Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) knowledge.
- Must be proficient within MS Excel and strong functionalitywithin MS Office Suite.
