Job Summary
Cheney Brothers is looking for hard-working, motivated individuals to join our transportation team.
Job Responsibilities/Requirements
- Ensure that commercial drivers and the company are complying with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations.
- Must be well versed with DOT regulations and ensure compliance of the same.
- Ensure drivers arrive as scheduled in uniform and properly perform pre-trips.
- Assist with recruitment, driver qualification file packets, road tests and interview process.
- Check pre trip, post trip, and DVIRs for accuracy and compliance.
- Motivate and train in a positive manner to ensure drivers know how to perform their duties in the most efficient, accurate manner.
- Work with human resources, risk/safety, and DOT compliance on issuing documents and training regarding DOT issues.
- Report any equipment issues to fleet manager for resolution.
- Ensure drivers properly and accurately complete return-related paperwork.
- Review questions or concerns from drivers and escalate if needed.
- Microsoft Office experience is required.
- Requires prior supervisory experience.
- Must hold a Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a favorable driving record.
- Other duties as assigned.
