Position Overview
The Supervisor, Document Control reports to the Manager, Engineering Services and is responsible for the development and compliance of the procedures and processes required to manage all facility documentation. This includes the life cycle management of technical, administrative, procedural, and other documentation and content that is created or received from Company or External sources. Coordinate with all necessary internal and external stakeholders to ensure the document management services are in place with the timing and capabilities to meet the needs of the project teams. Manage and provide leadership and work direction to the document control team by setting priorities and monitor performance whilst supporting the development and mentoring direct reports. Provide support and assistance for the electronic system of record for the facility. Responsibilities also include communication and coordination among employees, other departments, contractors, customers, and regulatory agencies.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
This position requires an understanding of the company’s organization, functions, roles, and responsibilities. In-depth knowledge of information and document management methodologies, technology, and procedures are critical to this position. Must have proven knowledge of engineering documentation with the use of a document management system of record. The incumbent should be familiar with office protocols, end-user training, customer-focused, and solution-based.
Skills
Education, Training, and Certifications:
High School Diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or Relevant Technical Discipline or equivalent work experience required.
Experience: At least ten (10) years of experience as a Document Controller, five (5) of which should be at a Supervisory Level with direct reports. Must have experience with document management technology solutions such as SharePoint and Documentum (preferred). Work experience in a Plant engineering environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities And Essential Duties
- Significant contribution to the development and improvement of the Company’s Enterprise Content Management Processes and Systems and the development of policies and procedures that address quality assurance, information standards, and regulations pertaining to Document Management. Ensures adherence to the above for the plant site documentation.
- Communicate and support document management processes, procedures, and technology effectively with capital project teams, departments, and external contractors to ensure there is a clear understanding of the requirements relating to the document management program.
- Regularly assess the alignment of document management support efforts with project teams to ensure that the team has sufficient support. Make needed adjustments as required based on assessments.
- Ability to recognize areas in need of mitigation and develop solutions plans to address the issues.
- Support timely distribution of documentation to appropriate users based on its state of maturity and revision cycle.
- Ensure that the quality of documentation and other content is in keeping with approved Document Management Procedures.
- Support the process for outgoing and incoming transmittals.
- Ensure the document control team provides end-user support to departments and individuals in using the Document Management processes and technology.
- Collaborate closely with the contractors and other departments to ensure company Document Management requirements are followed.
- Assists in the Design and Drafting compiling and updating the monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for the Technical Services department.
- Understands the FERC, DOT, USCG, PHMSA, and Environmental audits requirements and provides support to all audits as needed.
- Ensure the team promotes a professional and customer service-oriented atmosphere.

- Job is performed in a typical office environment, with occasional site visits (candidate must be eligible to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential)

- Must maintain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) in good standing status
