JOB SUMMARY
The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting customers visiting the Bluffs Administrative Building. Directs customers to the appropriate destination and/or county departments. Provides customer service with duties including effectively answering and directing phone calls to the correct staff member/department, notifying departments of visitor arrivals, receiving deliveries, sorting/managing inter-office and external mail and performing other clerical duties as needed. The receptionist needs to deliver exceptional customer service and provide an overall welcoming environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Greets incoming visitors and notifies employees of visitor arrival or directs visitor to the proper department.
- Strong attendance history of punctuality.
- Determines nature of inquiries and provides routine information regarding County functions and operations.
- Answers and forwards calls to proper agency or employee.
- Accepts delivery of packages and notifies recipient for package pick-up.
- Oversees the delivery and distribution of inter-office mail which includes daily travel using a county vehicle to the Justice Center to deliver and retrieve inter-office mail.
- Performs routine clerical work and other job duties as assigned.
- Coordinates with the Conference Center on events and deliveries.
- Coordinates with Property Management to receive deliveries.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent, and one (1) year of experience in general office work.
Any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills is acceptable.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Physical:
- Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting and operate office equipment.
- Continuous sitting and upward and downward flexion of neck.
- Fine finger dexterity and light to moderate finger pressure to manipulate keyboard, equipment controls, and office equipment.
- Pinch grasp to manipulate writing utensils.
- Frequent side-to-side turning of neck, walking, standing, bending, stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting at waist.
- Moderate wrist torque to twist equipment knobs and dials.
- Occasional squatting, kneeling, and reaching above and at shoulder height.
- Lifting objects weighing 20-35 lbs. from below waist to above shoulders and transporting distances up to 50 feet.
Vision:
- See in the normal visual range with or without correction.
- Vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents and to operate equipment.
Hearing:

OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Valid Georgia Driver’s License and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
Required to work in office 8:00 am to 5:00 pm with one (1) hour lunch.

Pay: $37,577.00 - $44,000.00 per year
