RECRUITMENT ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Community Social Services Technician
SALARY: Grade 59 – $32,655
NUMBER OF VACANCIES: One

DESCRIPTION OF WORK:
Home management; monitor/reinforce adult/ family’s progress on protective service plan goals. Teach/reinforce housekeeping methods, home safety, energy conservation and sanitation skills, personal safety measures and infection control in the home; teach/reinforce household budgeting, shopping and management of time and resources. Escorting elderly and disabled adults to medical, dental, mental health appointments, and stores. Transportation may also be provided to help disabled adults accomplish goals of their service plan. Appropriate documentation is required to accurately reflect the work being done with the family/case and include referrals, copies of the case plan of the referring case manager to show goals and objectives of treatment interventions and/or desired services, and a copy of the case plan developed. All contacts would be documented in the record and updates completed on a quarterly basis. Documentation would be expected as well for recording travel and day sheets. Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE: Demonstrated possession of knowledges, skills and abilities gained through at least one year of experience in performing tasks similar to the ones assigned.
Salary : $32,655 - $59,000
