Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa is hiring a Media and Communications Specialist to develop and implement social media strategies that align with company goals and enhance guest and employee engagement. This position requires a creative individual with strong content creation, editing, and analytical skills, as well as a keen understanding of emerging digital trends.
- Lead engagement on assigned casino property social media channels and emerging platforms.
- Generate, edit, publish, and share compelling content to increase social media presence and engagement.
- Research and evaluate emerging social media platforms and programs to support CNE casino properties.
- Capture and edit photos and videos for social media use.
- Create graphics for social media posts and pages, adhering to property marketing programs and branding guidelines.
- Assist with website creative implementation that aligns with overall marketing and branding.
- Support property digital media programs (plasmas, pylons, multi-media, etc.).
- Assist with the development of property marketing calendars and budget planning processes.
- Partner with Public Relations on topics that cross business unit channels.
- Bachelor’s degree in mass communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, or a related field and 1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge of graphic and website design.
- Knowledge of CNE mobile app and reporting.
- Fluency in social media platforms, including advertising/paid reach.
- Knowledge of web hosting or content management systems.
- Advanced knowledge of Adobe Premiere and Mac operating systems, as well as Microsoft Office products.
- Excellent attention to detail and a self-starter.
- Basic photography, video-editing, and Photoshop skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including proficiency in proofreading, editing, and AP Style.
- Excellent work ethic and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Advanced organizational skills, including the ability to manage a social media calendar.
- Creative thinking and ability to generate new ideas.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work in a variety of settings, including climate-controlled offices and casino floors with exposure to smoke and noise.
- Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to travel, including overnight stays.
- Ability to lift objects up to 50 lbs.
