Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs is hiring a Racing Maintenance Associate to play a crucial role in ensuring a safe and well-maintained environment for horses and personnel at the racetrack. This position involves a variety of tasks, including groundskeeping, barn maintenance, and equipment upkeep.
NOTE : This position is considered safety-sensitive and is subject to pre-employment and random drug testing. - Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of horse barns.
- Perform general groundskeeping duties, including mowing, weed eating, and waste removal.
- Assist with the upkeep of the RV Park.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment.
- Follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment.
- Contribute to a safe and positive working environment.
- High School Diploma or GED and at least 3 years of relevant experience in groundskeeping, maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience operating various types of equipment, including mowers and other groundskeeping machinery.
- Knowledge of basic construction and repair techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and often demanding outdoor environment.
- Ability to withstand exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, and noise.
- Ability to lift and carry objects up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work long hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Ability to obtain and maintain licensing by the appropriate gaming/racing authority.
- Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
