Job Summary
Provides customer service to Human Services clients. Completes applications for services. Provides information, documents, reports, manages client files and performs other duties.
Job Duties
Provides intake and completes applications and/or registration for determination of eligible services.
Determines level of service.
Secures and reviews backup documentation.
Computes income and determine hours of care for which client is eligible, issues proper documents to clients for eligibility continuation.
Submits paperwork for application processing.
Responds to clients and vendor inquiries.
Provides follow-up on clients who have received internal and external referral to determine that clients were able to access needed service.
Determines client satisfaction, verifies information contained in the client application, or request further information.
Provides follow-up on documentation submitted to supervisor on customer complaints.
Provides follow-up with appropriate program managers & directors on referrals or concerns received from administration and Tribal Council.
Maintains logs, registers, and data necessary for program use.
Develops and maintains necessary reports for supervisor.
Represents program at meeting, community events, with client and the public.
Other duties may be assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
No supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTÂ
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and less than one year of specialized training or education.
Experience Requirements
An additional three (3) years experience in a related field is required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSÂ
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. A license is required because they will drive a GSA from time to time for conferences and going to our field offices.
Computer Skillsâ
An individual should have knowledge of Database software and Word Processing software.
Other Skills And Abilitiesâ
Ability to work with the public.

Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG's Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA's List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG's List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
Must meet and maintain pre-employment and periodic background investigation and adjudication for child care.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
