The Director of Compensation and Team Member Services will develop and deliver effective compensation programs to ensure the effective recruitment, retention, and motivation of a qualified workforce. Lead the HR Response call center team, responsible for delivering excellent customer service related to benefits and similar inquiries by team members.

- Supervise/Manage a department and have authority over hiring/firing/performance decisions.
- Provides thought leadership, strategic direction, integration, and tactical/operational management of the company's compensation program
- Leads and coordinates development, review, and administration of base salary programs (i.e., job analysis, job evaluation, merit, promotions and salary structures)
- Directs the process of collecting and analyzing market-based compensation information; recommend changes/modifications to align with strategic objectives
- Partners with colleagues to communicate compensation as part of Total Rewards and how employees' performance can influence business outcomes
- Evaluates the effectiveness of existing policies, guidelines, architecture/structure and procedures; improve as necessary
- Provides subject matter expertise and guidance to other members of the HR team and company leadership
- Researches and analyzes market and industry trends as well as best practices, and recommend applicability to organization
- Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements
- Manages the compensation and HR Response departments budgets
- Selects, organizes, coaches, and develops staff members to function as a team and to perform at a high level in providing services that add value in an effective and efficient manner
- Manages vendor relationships as they relate to compensation planning
- Ensure excellent support and customer service of the HR Response team to coworkers and human resources
- Responsible for ongoing improvement of HR Response processes and service delivery
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree required together with 8-10 years of experience administering base compensation programs, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a fast-paced, diverse work environment.
- Experience with job evaluation, market pricing methods, salary survey techniques, merit pay processes, and performance evaluation methods.
- Certified Compensation Professional designation preferred.
- Excellent analytical abilities, accuracy, and attention to detail.
- Proven leadership/managerial skills along with organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to be flexible and proactive problem solver adept at achieving results in a collaborative environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and strong service orientation. Must be able to coach and influence others at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to draft policies and guidelines.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of the legal, financial, economic, and tax issues that impact compensation.
- Knowledge of all compliance matters including regulatory/legislative as they relate to compensation.
- Ability to ensure best practices in the area of customer service delivery to internal customers.
- Must have advanced Excel skills.
- Must have high degree of integrity and maintaining confidentiality.
