Job Summary:
Develops and administers a system for investigating and monitoring assigned projects; performs site visits, and assists with developing and implementing policies and procedures.
Job Duties:
Assists in the development and implementation of appropriate policies and procedures and internal controls. Develops and administers a system for investigating and monitoring assigned projects for compliance with applicable rules and regulations. Maintains reports, inventories and records as appropriate. Assists in reviewing proposed changes to internal controls. Assists in reviewing monthly gaming commission reports. Monitors compliance with approved system of internal controls. Enforces and resolves complaints connected with projects according to policies and procedures. Collects and analyzes gaming facility performance data to assess compliance and make recommendations for addressing deficiencies. Investigates and issues written reports on customer complaints, disputes, or claims along with recommendations for resolution based on applicable regulations. Investigates and issues written reports on reported compliance violations of applicable laws, regulations, or standards, along with appropriate recommendations for corrective and/or punitive actions. Other duties may be assigned.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Qualifications:
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, International Business, Management, Safety, IT, Information Systems, Business Technology, Criminal Justice, Political Science, Public Administration or related field; or six years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT
An additional three (3) years related experience is required.
COMPUTER SKILLS
An individual should have knowledge of Database software; Inventory Software; Project Management Software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must possess a valid driver's license with a driving history verified through a motor vehicle report that meets requirements for Cherokee Nation underwriting rating. Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Cherokee Nation Gaming Commission.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Must be able to operate standard office equipment and word processing, spreadsheet, and data base computer programs. Must be able to work autonomously with minimal supervision at times.

Employee must not and will not be under sanction by the United States Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General (OIG) or by the General Services Administration (GSA) or listed on the OIG’s Cumulative Sanction Report, or the GSA’s List of Excluded Providers, or listed on the OIG’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, and talk or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
